Set up your first call day

Plan your prepaid package, staffed hours, and call limits so your volume fits the people available to answer.

Lesson 1

Before you buy a package

For new packages, a call becomes billable at 60 seconds of connected call time. Calls shorter than 60 seconds do not use a call from that package. Existing orders keep the billing duration shown in your order history.

Complete your account setup and required training first. When purchasing is available for your account, check the type of calls, quantity, price, and order terms before paying. Choose a quantity you can work thoughtfully; buying more calls does not create more time to answer them.

QLG Connect uses prepaid call packages. Check your remaining balance before planning the day, and choose your next purchase when you are ready. The current product preview does not accept live purchases or apply changes to live call delivery.

Lesson 2

Match your settings to your staffing

Your call schedule should cover only the hours when someone is ready to answer. Check the receiving phone number and the timezone displayed with your schedule. The timezone is currently managed by QLG; saving hours in the preview does not apply them to live delivery.

A daily cap limits how many calls you want over the day. An hourly cap limits how many you want in an hour. Concurrency means the maximum number of calls you can take at the same time. If you are working alone, start with one call at a time. For a small team, use the number of people actually ready to answer, not your total headcount.

  • Check your prepaid balance and the product you will be taking calls for.
  • Review the receiving number, timezone, and staffed hours.
  • Set daily and hourly limits you can handle comfortably.
  • Keep maximum calls at once within your available staffing.
  • Treat limits as maximums; they do not guarantee that volume will arrive.

Lesson 3

Understand live demand and call priority

Once delivery is confirmed on, your campaign is available to receive calls from matching consumers. Calls arrive as real people respond in real time. Opening your availability does not create a queue or guarantee immediate calls. Consumer demand, your matching criteria, your schedule and limits, and how competitive your campaign is all affect call flow.

Call distribution is driven by a performance algorithm. Campaigns that consistently make productive use of calls earn higher priority for matching opportunities. Strong performance helps QLG keep investing in the media that brings consumers in, supporting call volume and quality across the network. Keep your staffing aligned with availability, pick up promptly, and follow the best-practices program on every call.

Lesson 4

Check delivery before relying on a change

The intended routine is to pause new delivery when you need a break and resume when you are ready. Automatic controls are not connected in this preview: saving a pause, resume, or limit request does not change incoming calls. Review the last confirmed status and do not assume a saved update is already active.

Before the day starts, review the best-practices call flow. QLG built this program from hundreds of hours of calls with the same types of consumers you will speak with. Use that experience: answer promptly, introduce yourself clearly, listen, qualify in order, and make the next step clear. Return to the training regularly so the process becomes a habit.

At the end of the day, check your remaining call balance and the staffing available for your next session. Keep any necessary customer or callback notes in your own agency system and follow your approved communications process for later contact.

A manageable start

One agent, one call at a time

Start with hours you can cover and enough space to finish each conversation and its notes. Increase volume only when your actual results and staffing support it.
